SHARE LOUNGE, a space that stimulates creativity.

CCC has been offering lifestyle suggestions to customers through books and entertainment.
We promote the creation of stores that are comfortable, creativity-stimulating spaces and community hubs for those who seek a free lifestyle that is uniquely their own. 

In November 2019, before the COVID-19, we opened TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE, including the new SHARE LOUNGE, in SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE, a large-scale complex in Shibuya, Tokyo.

We have defined "SHARE LOUNGE", our new business format challenge, as follows.

 5G, individual, and diversity, the era of the future,
Shibuya creative class workers in their 20's and 30's
A place where inspiration and ideas are born,
a place where they can work more independently, freely, and in their own way.

A space that combines the convenience of a "shared office" with the comfort of a "lounge".

 SHARE LOUNGE is a facility that combines the convenience of a "shared office" with the comfort of a "lounge".
In a comfortable lounge-like space decorated with carefully selected furniture, free drinks (beer, wine, and other alcohol are available depending on the plan), free food such as nuts and chocolate, and a full range of amenities including high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as a variety of books to stimulate creativity are freely available in the "SHARE LOUNGE".
The space offers a wide variety of seating options, from single seats where you can concentrate on your work, to box seats where several people can enjoy a relaxing time, and private rooms that can be used for meetings and private gatherings.
The space can be used as a café or for business purposes.
The COVID-19 in 2020 has brought about various changes in the living environment, and more and more people in the world are seeking new lifestyles.
SHARE LOUNGE opened in Shibuya in November 2019, followed by Daikanyama in December 2021 and Marunouchi in December 2022.

In addition to being attached to "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE" in commercial facilities, "SHARE LOUNGE" are being developed as stand-alone spaces in hotels, office buildings, residences, and various other facilities, and have now expanded to 22 stores in Japan, 2 stores overseas, and 10 affiliated stores.

The concept is "a place where ideas are born and shared".

 This space, which combines the functionality of a shared office with the coziness of a lounge, has gained the support of a wide range of customers, including workers, students, and inbound travelers, and is expanding its branches both in Japan and overseas, partly against the backdrop of the era in which the COVID-19 has greatly changed working styles.

Our "SHARE LOUNGE" provides four values as a real space that cannot be replaced by digital technology.

Customers can freely choose how to use the space: first, as a place to work or study; second, as a café; third, as a place to enjoy quiet reading; and fourth, as a place where events are held.

The opening of the UMEDA TSUTAYA BOOKS SHARE LOUNGE in June 2023, followed by Kyoto in October of the same year, and INOGATE OSAKA, which is scheduled to open in the Umekita area of Kita-ku, Osaka City in the fall of 2024, will continue to open stores in the Kansai region.

We will continue to expand "SHARE LOUNGE" as a form of lifestyle proposal in line with the times.
